When your first-gen Horizon Cloud tenant environment's pod fleet has its very first cloud-connected pod and Active Directory domain registration is complete, you can access the console's Capacity page. From that point, you can see the Capacity page's New menu. Then you use that menu as the beginning point for adding more pods to the fleet.
Important: This information applies solely when you have access to a first-gen tenant environment in the first-gen control plane. As described in KB-92424, the first-gen control plane has reached end of availability (EOA). See that article for details.
In the console, you open the Capacity page using Settings > Capacity.
To begin to add a pod to the fleet, you click New and then select the appropriate option depending on which type of pod you want to add.
Note: As indicated in KB-92424, the New action is available only when you have an approved exception from the first-gen control plane's end of availability (EOA).
Important: The menu choices and specific workflow steps for adding a pod to the fleet depends on the precise type of pod you want to add and what is supported for your use according to the configurations in your Horizon Cloud tenant account. As described in First-Gen Tenants - Tour of the First-Gen Horizon Universal Console, the console is dynamic and will show or not show features depending on what is configured in your tenant account. If you do not see something in the console that you expect to see, please open an informational support request to ask about it.

Want to add a new Horizon Cloud pod in Microsoft Azure to your fleet?
For this use case, use the menu flow New > Microsoft Azure. That flow starts the wizard that automates deployment of a pod-manager-based Horizon Cloud pod. Such pods are based on the Horizon Cloud pod-manager technology, which runs solely in a Microsoft Azure subscription. For the detailed workflow steps, go to First-Gen Tenants - Horizon Cloud Pods on Microsoft Azure - Using the First-Gen Horizon Universal Console Capacity Page to Add More Pods to Your Pod Fleet.
Tip: This choice is not applicable for a Horizon pod on AVS. A Horizon pod on AVS is a pod based on Horizon Connection Server technology.

Want to add a new Horizon pod? Includes Horizon pods on AVS
Horizon pods are ones that are based on Horizon Connection Server software instead of the pod-manager technology. In this current release, you add all of these types of pods using the Horizon Cloud Connector. The Horizon pod must already exist, up and running, in its on-premises or cloud environment. The menu flow New > SDDC is applicable for that use case. After using that option, then click Download for an easy path leading to a Customer Connect download page from which you download the latest Horizon Cloud Connector appliance. CAUTION:
With respect to a Horizon pod on VMC on AWS specifically, even though the console might display an Add action for that type after you click New > SDDC, do not take that path. At this time, that path is not for generalized use and there is no public documentation available for it. To add a Horizon pod on VMC on AWS, use the Download path.
