Using Workspace ONE UEM to Manage Dedicated VDI Desktops in Your Horizon Cloud Pod in Microsoft Azure

If you use Workspace ONE UEM to manage Windows 10 physical PCs, you can also use it to manage Windows 10 dedicated VDI desktops in your Horizon Cloud pods. This approach helps standardize day-2 operations across Windows 10 physical and virtual desktops.

To enroll these types of dedicated VDI desktops into Workspace ONE UEM, see Onboarding Windows 10 Using Command-Line Enrollment: Workspace ONE Operational Tutorial.

Important:

When a user logs in to a dedicated desktop, Workspace ONE UEM enrolls the desktop of the user. At that time, an option to unassign the desktop of the user becomes available in the Horizon Universal Console.

However, when you unassign the desktop of the user using the Horizon Universal Console, Horizon Cloud does not delete the device from Workspace ONE UEM. Therefore, you must log in to the Workspace ONE UEM administrative console and delete the enrolled device. If you do not delete the device from Workspace ONE UEM, the device remains enrolled to the original user and attempts that you make to assign the desktop to another user fail.
