Your Omnissa organizations map you to your Omnissa services. Depending on your Organization role, you can view the organization ID, access multiple organizations, and customize the organization header.
Organizations map users to services
Your Omnissa account can be associated with one or several Omnissa Connect organizations, and you must belong to an organization with an Organization role to access Omnissa services. For details about Omnissa Organization roles, see Organization roles and permissions.
Your active organization
When you sign into Connect, the organization you are logged into is displayed under your user name in the header of the Connect console. This organization is your active organization.
If you belong to more than one organization, you can switch from the active organization to another of your organizations at any given time.
View the organization ID
Each organization has a unique ID. You might have to use this ID when interacting with external command-line interfaces so use a method to find and copy the ID.
Method 1
- Select the arrow next to your user name to view the Organization ID.
- Use the clipboard icon to copy the long version of the organization ID if you need it.
Method 2
- From the Connect Home page, select Organization Settings from the left navigation.
- In the Organization ID area, select the clipboard icons to copy the short version of the Organization ID or the Long Organization ID version.
Display the organization settings
There are several ways to see the organization settings.
- Method 1: Select the arrow next to your user name and select View Organization.
- Method 2: On the Home page in Connect, select Organization Settings.
Change the organization display name
If you are an Owner, you can change the display name of the organization.
- From the Connect Home page, select Organization Settings in the left navigation.
- Select Edit by Organization Name.
- Depending on your profile, you might also view and edit the country and zip or postal code and add or edit the tag used when querying Omnissa APIs.
How do I access another one of my organizations
If you belong to more than one organization, you can switch from the active organization to another of your organizations at any given time.
When you sign in to Omnissa Connect, your active organization is displayed. You can see the name of your active organization in the Connect header under your user name.
Procedure
- In Connect, select the arrow next to your user name in the header.
- Select the arrow next to the active organization name.
A drop-down list appears displaying the names of your organizations. - Select the organization you want to display.
How do I specify a default organization
If you belong to more than one organization, you can choose which of your organizations is displayed by default when you sign in.
Your default organization is the organization to which you were initially invited. Follow the listed steps to change the default.
Procedure
- In the Connect header, select the arrow next to your user name.
- Select View My Profile.
- In the Default Organization area, select Edit.
- From the drop-down menu, select the desired organization to be the default.
How do I customize the Omnissa Connect header
As an Owner, you can brand and customize the Omnissa Connect header to reflect your company's brand.
The custom Omnissa Connect header that you create in this task is visible only to Members accessing this particular organization.
Prerequisites
- You must have an Owner role.
- You must be familiar with your company's branding guidelines.
- You can only upload SVG files for logo images.
Procedure
- From the Connect Home page, select Organization Settings.
- In the Organization Customization section, select Edit. 1, In the Header Display Name text box, type the name you want in the header of your organization.
- Upload your organization logos.
- Under Light Theme, select Browse and then select the SVG image file from your local machine. Notice that the header logo for Dark Theme is set to Same as Light Theme by default.
- To upload a different image file for Dark Theme, deselect the Same as Light Theme checkbox, select Browse and select the image from your local machine.
- The Preview section refreshes to display the new color changes you made.
- You can revert the changes you made by selecting Restore Defaults.
- To modify the color palette for your organization header for both Light Theme and Dark Themes:
- Click inside the Header Background Color and Header Text Color text fields.
- Use the color selection tool to define the color for each entry.
- Select Save.
The Preview section refreshes to display the new header logo. - Refresh your service page to see the changes you made.
How can you leave an organization?
Owners and Administrators have permissions to remove users from organizations, but Administrators cannot remove Owners. Contact the Owner or an Administrator in the organization to remove you if you not an Owner or an Administrator.
