Overview

Administrators can deploy Horizon 8 infrastructure components on Nutanix AHV, and configure Horizon 8 to integrate with Nutanix Prism Central for provisioning and power management of automated pools. This is supported for on premises deployments and NC2 (Nutanix Cloud Clusters) deployments on AWS.

Unified Access Gateway and Horizon Edge Gateway are available for Nutanix AHV deployments.

Prerequisites

  • A Windows Server OS (2016 and later), Desktop OS (Windows 10 or 11) and Connection Server 2506 are needed to proceed with using Nutanix.

Minimum Supported Nutanix Software Versions

  • Prism Central (PC): 2024.3
  • AOS: 7.0
  • AHV: 10.0

Important

  • The network used for Horizon desktop pool creation must be mapped to an Active Directory Site.

  • Active Directory Sites can be managed using the Active Directory Sites and Services tool on domain.
