Launch a Desktop Using Horizon Web Client

You can use the Horizon Web Client to launch a desktop provided by your Horizon Cloud environment.

Prerequisites

Before end users can launch their assigned desktops, verify that your environment has at least one of the following items to provide the desktops.

• Successfully published VDI images for a single-session pool.
• Successfully published images for a multi-session pool.

Procedure

1. To reach your assigned desktop, launch the Horizon portal.

2. Click Browser to connect to your desktop using the web client.

   After you click Browser, the browser displays the Sign in with SSO UI.

3. In Sign in with SSO, enter the name for the company domain that is associated with this Horizon Cloud environment and click Continue.

   In the Horizon Universal Console, administrators can see the name that is configured in the identity provider configuration.

   After you click Continue, follow the on-screen prompts. The system takes you to the login UI for your identity provider. Log in with your assigned credentials for that identity provider.

   After completing the identity provider login, the Horizon entitlement screen is displayed, and lists your assigned desktops and applications.

4. To launch a desktop, click its displayed icon.
