Horizon Cloud natively integrates with your syslog server so that you can monitor critical components in your Horizon environment. A syslog server is a centralized log collector that receives and stores events, errors, and alerts from systems across your environment, simplifying monitoring and troubleshooting.
Using the Integrations page of the Horizon Universal Console in Horizon Cloud, you can add syslog server settings and configure Unified Access Gateways (UAGs) to send syslog events to that server. Once configured, UAG syslog events from your selected Edges are forwarded to your syslog server for diagnostics, security monitoring, and operational analysis.

Procedure to Add a Syslog Configuration

Log in to the Horizon Universal Console. See Log in to Horizon Cloud.

From the Horizon Universal Console left pane navigation, click Integrations and then click Manage on the Syslog configuration tile.

Click Add to create a new configuration. If an existing configuration exists, you can choose to Edit or Delete it.

Provide a name for the new configuration, choose the categories of events to monitor, and select the Horizon Edges to monitor.

For the Protocol value, select the desired message transport protocol, choosing either TCP, ODP, or TLS and whether to include system messages as described in onscreen help.

For the Syslog URL value, specify the hostname, URL, or IP address of your syslog server using the format specified in onscreen help.

For the Port value, specify the designated port. As stated in onscreen help, the default port is 514.

If prompted for a certificate, browse to your certificate file or files and respond as prompted.

Click Save.
The Syslog configuration page appears, showing a new row for the Syslog configuration file containing its name, protocol, category, and name of a specified Horizon Edge to monitor.
