Horizon Cloud uses different methods to inform you that Horizon agent software deployed on VMs is not the most current version available. Several Horizon Universal Console pages related to pools, pool groups, and images inform you when the associated Horizon agent is out of date. As a best practice, keep the Horizon agent version current.
Horizon Agent Version Labels
The Horizon agent version labels indicate if the agent version is up-to-date or not on a resource (pool groups, pools, or images). If the agent is not up-to-date, the labels further indicate the significance of how outdated the agents are.
| Horizon Agent Version Label | Description |
|---|---|
| Latest | The latest agent version is installed. |
| Out of date | Some resources, for example pools in a pool group, have agents that are out of date. |
| Unsupported | Some resources, for example pools in a pool group, have agents that are out of date or otherwise unsupported. Omnissa supports the latest agent version and one version prior to the latest agent version. |
| At risk | Some resources, for example pools in a pool group, have agents with critical security or functionality issues. |
For any questions about Horizon agent version support, see the Horizon Cloud Release Notes or contact Customer Support.
The following example Horizon agent version status list is taken from the Pool Groups page and shows the Agent Version Status column. You can hover over an Agent Version Status label to view on-screen help content.
