Schedule Pool Power Policies

When working with dedicated pools, an Admin can configure power management schedules for Microsoft Azure and Amazon WorkSpace Core desktop pools and pool groups. To do this, create power management schedules by following the procedure below. In the future, Omnissa plans to extend this feature to both floating and multi-session pools.

Procedure

1. From the Horizon Universal Console, select Pool Groups in the left menu.
2. Select the Pool group you would like to manage and click Edit.
3. The pools in that group will be displayed. Click Next to continue.
4. Under the Policies section, you will see the Power Management sub-section. Under the Power management schedule, Click Add Schedule.
5. Name this Schedule and from the drop down select the Pool Name you would like to schedule. You may select multiple pool names if needed.
6. Set the Days, Time zone, Time Duration, and percentage of Unused VMs to fit your needs.
7. Click Add to finalize the schedule.
8. Repeat steps 5 through step 8 as many times as needed.
9. Click Save & Close to save your changes.
