If you receive a notification that your application key is expiring or has expired for a particular Microsoft Azure service principal for which a Horizon Edge of the Microsoft Azure provider type is based in Horizon Cloud, you can update the application key.

You first update the application key using your Microsoft Azure portal account and then make the needed updates to your Horizon Edge in Horizon Cloud.

Open your Microsoft Azure account portal.

Navigate to the service principal that you used when defining the Horizon Edge whose application key you've been notified is expiring or has expired.

For the associated application ID, update the application key using Microsoft Azure instructions. See Microsoft product documentation such as the following:

Once you receive confirmation that the application ID has been updated, open the impacted Microsoft Azure provider type in Horizon Cloud by clicking Capacity > Providers.

Select the specific provider to update in the first column of the page and then click Edit.

On the resultant Edit Provider page for the selected provider name, enter updated Application ID and Application key information in the Service Principal section of the page.

(Optional) Enter a new expiry date in the Service Principal section of the page.

Click Save.
