Validate a Published Image with Microsoft Azure

You can validate a published image during your image management process. Note: If an imported VM was deployed on an Microsoft Azure Dedicated Host, image validation will be supported. However, if the Azure Dedicated Host Group does not have Automatic Placement, image validation is not supported.

Prerequisites

  • The Edge gateway is ready.
  • The image is published successfully.
  • At least one virtual network and tenant (desktop) subnet is selected for the provider.

Procedure

  1. On the Horizon Universal Console Home page, click Images.

  2. On the Images page, click the image link to navigate to the image versions page.

  3. Select an image version to validate and click Published > Validate.

  4. Select a network to use for image validation.

  5. If you are using an un-authenticated outbound proxy for any pool VMs to communicate, turn on the toggle and provide the values for the proxy host and proxy port. This outbound proxy configuration is used to validate the Image Publish process by creating and cleaning-up a System Pool.

If you have already configured outbound proxy settings (proxy host and proxy port) for the Horizon Edge selected in this workflow, then turn on the Copy Horizon Edge proxy toggle to use the same configuration here. As a result, Horizon Edge proxy settings are automatically carried over to these fields: Proxy host and Proxy port.

  1. Click Save to trigger validation.
