Microsoft Azure Component Dependencies

When working in a Microsoft Azure environment, Horizon Cloud has dependencies on various Microsoft Azure components. Note that these Microsoft Azure components require a customer subscription.

Internal Edge Connectivity

This Horizon Cloud feature correlates to a Microsoft Azure private endpoint.

Unified Access Gateway (UAG)

Unified Access Gateway (UAG) resources in Horizon Cloud depend on Microsoft Azure components, such as the following:

  • Azure virtual network (Vnet)
  • Azure subnets
  • Resource group
  • UAG VMs
  • Load balancer
  • Azure public IP
  • Network interface controllers (NICs)
  • Network security groups (NSGs)

Edge Deployment

Horizon Cloud Edge deployment in the Microsoft Azure environment depends on Microsoft Azure components, such as the following:

  • Azure virtual network (Vnet)
  • Azure subnets
  • Resource group
  • Edge VM/ Edge AKS components
  • Azure storage disk
  • Azure Network Interface (NIC)
  • Azure Public IP
  • Load balancer
  • Managed identity
  • Azure key vault (in Omnissa subscription)
  • NAT gateway/Route tables
  • Network security group (NSG)
  • Azure Private Endpoint

Pools

Horizon Cloud pools have a dependency on Microsoft Azure components, such as the following:

  • Vnet
  • Subnet
  • Resource group
  • Storage (OS disk)
  • Compute SKUs
  • Disk SKUs
  • Network interface card (NIC)
