Obtain Licensing and Enable Microsoft BYOL Eligibility for Amazon WorkSpaces Core

For deployments into Amazon WorkSpaces Core regions, complete the following tasks.

These steps are neccesary to perform workflows and operate desktop VMs and Remote Desktop session VMs to use in your Horizon Cloud environment for those AWS regions, including use of Microsoft licenses that are purchased as part of the BYOL service.

1. Determine whether your WorkSpaces account is eligible for use with Microsoft BYOL. This process is described in Amazon documentation at Determine whether your WorkSpaces account is eligible for use with Microsoft BYOL.

2. Enable BYOL for your eligible WorkSpaces account using the Amazon WorkSpaces console. This process is described in Amazon documentation at Enable BYOL for your eligible WorkSpaces account using the Amazon WorkSpaces console.
