You can edit existing banners to update their content, modify action buttons, or change their configuration. Editing allows you to keep your communications current without having to delete and recreate banners. You can also perform other less common, but often useful, banner-related modifications, such as unpublishing, republshing and deleting.
Prerequisites
- At least one banner must exist in Workspace ONE Hub Services.
- Administrator access to Workspace ONE Hub Services console.
About Editing Banners
You can edit both published and unpublished banners. When you edit a published banner, the changes are immediately visible to end users after you update the banner.
Editable components:
- Banner name (for internal identification)
- Title
- Message text
- Action button text and URL
Procedure

Log in to the Hub Services console.

Starting in the left pane, navigate to Notifications & Banners > Overview and locate the banner you want to edit in the Banners list.

Click the three-dots menu for the row of the banner that you want to edit and select Edit.

On the Definition page, modify any of the following options, if desired, and click Next:
- Name - Update the internal name used to identify the banner.
- Platforms - Select the Platforms on which to display the banner.

On the Content page, modify any of the following options, if desired, and click Next:

Title - Update the banner title.

Message - Update the message text.

Action Button - Add, modify, or remove the action button:
- To add an action button, toggle on Include Action Button and provide button text and a URL.
- To modify an existing button, you can update the button-related text boxes.
- To remove an action button, toggle off Include Action Button.

On the Summary page, review your changes and click Update.
Results
The banner is updated with your changes. If you updated a banner that was in a Published state, the updated content is immediately visible to end users accessing Workspace ONE intelligent.
Example Editing Scenarios
Updating a Maintenance Window
Original Banner:
- Title: "Scheduled Maintenance Tonight"
- Message: "System will be down from 10 PM to 2 AM."
Updated Banner:
- Title: "Maintenance Rescheduled"
- Message: "System maintenance has been rescheduled to Saturday night from 10 PM to 2 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience."
Adding an Action Button to an Existing Banner
You created a banner announcing a new feature but later want to add a link to training materials:
- Edit the banner.
- On the Content page, click Add Action Button.
- Enter button text: View Training Guide.
- Enter URL: https://training.company.com/new-features.
- Publish the updated banner.
Correcting Information
If you discover an error in a published banner, you can quickly edit and republish it:
- Edit the banner to correct the mistake.
- Review the changes on the Summary page.
- Click Update to immediately update the banner.
Additional Banner Management Actions
In addition to editing banner content, you can perform the following actions from the Notifications & Banners > Overview page:
Unpublish a Banner
To hide a published banner without deleting it:

Navigate to Notifications & Banners > Overview.

Locate the published banner in the list.

Click the three-dots menu for the banner and select Unpublish.
The banner is removed from display but remains saved in the system for future use.
Delete a Banner
To permanently remove a banner from the system:

Navigate to the Notifications & Banners > Overview page.

Locate the banner you want to delete in the list.
-
Click the three-dots menu for the banner and select Delete.

Confirm the deletion when prompted.
The banner is permanently deleted from the system. This action cannot be undone.
Republish a Banner
To republish an unpublished banner:

Navigate to the Notifications & Banners > Overview page.

If a banner is in a Published state, unpublish it.

Locate the unpublished banner in the list that you want to publish.

Click the three-dots menu for the banner and select Publish.
The banner is published and visible to end users. Remember that only one banner can be published at a time.
