Publish a Banner in Workspace ONE Hub Services

Publishing a banner makes it visible to end users when they access Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub. You publish a banner when you create it, but you can also publish a previously published banner that is currently in the Unpublished state.

Prerequisites

  • At least one banner available in Workspace ONE Hub Services.
  • Administrator access to the Hub Services console.
  • Banners enabled in Global Settings.

About Publishing Banners

Important considerations when publishing banners:

  • Only One Published Banner Allowed at a Time - When you publish a new banner, if a banner already exists in a Published state, it is automatically unpublished.
  • System Notifications Take Precedence Over Administrator-Created Banners - If a system notification from Omnissa is active, your custom banner is not visible to users until the system notification is resolved or acknowledged.
  • Published Banners Are immediately Visible - Once published, the banner appears to all end users accessing Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub.

Procedure

Publish a Banner During Creation

When you create a new banner, you publish it as part of the creation process:

Publish an Existing Unpublished Banner

To publish a banner that is currently in an Unpublished state, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Hub Services console.

  2. Starting in the left pane, navigate to Notifications & Banners > Overview.

  3. If a banner has a status of Published, click the three-dots menu for that row and select Unpublish.

Note: You must unpublish an existing published banner before you can publish a different banner from the banner list.

  4. Click the three-dots menu for the row of the banner that you want to publish and select Publish.

Results

The selected banner is now published and visible to end users when they access Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub.

Verifying Banner Display

To verify that your banner is displaying correctly:

  1. Log out of WorkSpace ONE Hub Services if you are currently logged in.

  2. Open a new browser window or tab and visit Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub.

  3. Log in as an end user.

  4. Verify that the banner appears at the top of Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub portal with the correct title, message, and action button (if configured).

Note: If you see a system notification banner instead of your custom banner, this is expected behavior. System notifications from Omnissa take precedence over administrator-created banners.
