Integrate Microsoft Teams as a Data Source in Omnissa Intelligence through to send and display Quality of Service (QoS) data in Omnissa Workspace ONE Experience Management. Use the data to gain visibility into real-time communication experiences of users using the Microsoft Teams application across physical desktops and mobile devices.
Limited availability
Intelligence offers Microsoft Teams integration with limited availability. These features are available to a limited number of customers for extended feedback. To request access, follow these steps:
- Contact your Global Customer Support (GCS) representative.
- Ask them to submit a request for enablement to the Experience Management team.
- Include the following details in the request.
- Organization ID
- Region
After the request is submitted, the feature will be activated for your organization.
Integration benefits
Benefits of integrating the systems include the listed use cases.
- Monitor audio, video, and screen sharing quality.
- Identify poor user experiences.
- Correlate data with device, network, and user context.
- Visualize through out-of-the-box experience dashboards.
Data definitions
See Teams Integration Data Definitions for a list of data points and their descriptions.
Supported platforms
This integration works on the listed platforms.
Note: This integration does not support VDI and Horizon optimized Teams.
- Android
- iOS
- macOS
- Windows
Requirements
Meet the listed requirements for Omnissa and Microsoft and have the listed entitlements before you configure the integration.
- Omnissa requirements
- Use Omnissa Intelligence.
- Have the Experience Management Add-on or have the Workspace ONE Enterprise entitlement.
- Use Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM for device and user correlations.
- Microsoft requirements
- Use the Microsoft Teams app on desktop and mobile clients.
- Have a Microsoft Teams Account with permissions to access Teams usage and call quality data.
- Both systems
- Set up configuration in Omnissa Intelligence as a Data Source to collect QoS data from Microsoft Teams.
Set up Teams as a data source
Add Teams as a data source in the Intelligence console.
- In Intelligence, go to Integrations > Data Sources.
- Select Set up in the Microsoft tile.
- The widget takes you to your Microsoft tenant where it prompts you to authenticate with your Microsoft Teams Account credentials.
- Grant Omnissa Intelligence the required permissions so the systems can communicate.
- Configure data ingestion.
Manage the integration
Use the management features in the Microsoft tile to monitor the integration.
- In Intelligence, go to Integrations > Data Sources.
- Select View in the Microsoft tile.

- On the Status tab, find connector information.
- On the Usage tab, find where admins are using the Teams QoS data in dashboards, workflows, and reports.
- You can select the link to navigate to the applicable object.
- You can download or copy log files for the integration using the Share Log menu option.
- You can Deauthorize the integration from the Microsoft page or from the ellipses on the tile.
Data collected
The integration provides the following QoS data.
- Core metrics
- Latency (ms)
- Jitter (ms)
- Packet loss (%)
- Network type (WiFi, Ethernet, and Cellular)
- Session metrics
- Meeting ID
- Modality (audio, video, and screen share)
- Contextual data
- User
- Device
- OS and Platform
- App version
Using the Device Timeline
The system ingests Teams QoS data into Omnissa Intelligence and correlates it with the applicable Workspace ONE UEM Device GUID (Unique Device identifier). The Experience Management solution displays the Teams QoS data in the Device Timeline View alongside other device, app and user telemetry.

You can edit the QoS metrics in the device timeline to choose the metrics of your choice. You can issue an investigation and align these metrics with other device and app performance metrics for each device based on the use case.
Category for dashboards, reports, and workflows
When you configure Experience Management dashboards, reports, and workflows, use the Data Source Microsoft > Microsoft Teams QoS.
Dashboards for the Microsoft Teams experience
You can access your data in the Experience Score area.
- In Intelligence, go to Experience Management > Experience Score and select the Physical tab.
- Expand the App Integration menu option and then select the Microsoft Teams tile.

Trend visualization
The Experience Management solution visualizes QoS trends for teams using the listed metrics on the Microsoft Teams tile in Experience Management.
- Users impacted over time
- Poor sessions trend
- Time-based degradation patterns
- Breakdowns displayed by, but not limited to, UEM organization group, device tags, app version, and platform.
User drill-down view
You can drill down in a visualization to get user details.
- User details such as name, email, and last active time
- Information of associated devices of a user including the device name, platform, OS version, and last seen timestamp

Data for meetings
You can get the listed meeting details from this integration.
- Meeting date
- Meeting ID
- Network type
- Count of poor streams
- Count of total streams
- Max jitter
- Avg packet loss
Investigation and Workflows
You can assign investigations on Teams QoS data and configure Teams QoS data in your workflows.
- Use the Create Investigation menu option on the device timeline to start an investigation.

- Apply filters to isolate issues.
- Trigger workflows for remediation.
- Examples
- Detect users with repeated poor Teams experience.
- Identify network-related issues (WiFi vs cellular).
- Correlate poor experience with specific app versions.
