Integrate Omnissa Horizon Cloud First-Gen and Omnissa Intelligence to gain visibility across your Horizon deployment that includes your virtual desktops, physical desktops, apps data, and app health insights. This integration ingests and displays Horizon analytics in a centralized location in Intelligence. Use Intelligence dashboards and reports to view and analyze the health of your Horizon deployment.

Entitlements
Horizon Cloud First-Gen Intelligence monitoring in Intelligence is entitled to all Horizon Universal Subscription customers, including Horizon Apps Universal Subscriptions and Horizon Apps Standard Subscriptions.
Workflows
Using workflows with Horizon Cloud First-Gen data in Intelligence is entitled to Horizon Universal subscription customers with one of the listed licenses.

Requirements
Meet the listed requirements so that you can connect the Horizon Cloud Service in the Intelligence console. If you do not meet the listed requirements, Intelligence does not display a card for Horizon Cloud in the Integrations area.
- Have an Omnissa account associated with Omnissa Connect. See Link your Omnissa account. You cannot integrate Horizon Cloud First-Gen without redeeming the Omnissa Connect welcome email and configuring the service subscription.
- Activate the Cloud Monitoring Service for your Horizon pods connected to Horizon Cloud. See General Setup section - Cloud Monitoring Service (CMS).
- Authenticated proxies are not supported for this integration. Using an authenticated proxy will prevent the sending of data to Intelligence, causing your dashboards and reports to not populate data correctly.
How do you authorize Horizon Cloud First-Gen?
Authorize Horizon Cloud First-Gen to connect to and share data with Intelligence.
- Record the URL of your Horizon Universal Console because you must enter it into Intelligence.
- In Intelligence, go to Integrations > Data Sources > Horizon Cloud.
- Select Set Up > Get Started.
- On the Authorization Details tab, enter the URL for your Horizon Universal Console in the Authorized URI text field. The system navigates to the URL so you can log in to the Horizon Universal Console.

- In the Horizon Universal Console, enter your My Credentials and Login.

- Next, the Horizon Universal Console prompts you for your Active Directory Credentials. Enter your credentials.
- The system uses these credentials to authorize the Horizon Cloud Control Plane to allow and set up integration.
- The system uses these credentials once.
- The process does not use or require a generated token to work.
- Select Accept to send data to Intelligence, to complete registration, and to begin the flow of data from Horizon Cloud to Intelligence.

- After the integration process completes, you can check in the Intelligence console at Integrations > Data Sources > Horizon Cloud that the integration status is Authorized.

How do you access the Intelligence console from Horizon?
After you have integrated Horizon and Intelligence, you can access the Intelligence console from the Horizon Universal Console through Omnissa Connect.
- Log in to the Horizon Universal Console console with your My Credentials.
- Enter your Active Directory Credentials.
- In the Horizon Universal Console, go to Monitor > Dashboard.
- On the Dashboard page, go to the Actionable Insights and Analytics section and select Launch Intelligence.
The system navigates to the Omnissa Connect console. - In the Omnissa Connect console, select the applicable User/Organization settings in the top right so that you can see your organization's available services.
- Select the Workspace ONE card in your available Services.
You are now in Intelligence, and you can view the Horizon Monitoring dashboard.
How do you access Horizon data in Intelligence?
Find dashboards for your Horizon Cloud First-Gen integration in Intelligence at Workspace > Virtual Apps & Desktops > Horizon Cloud First-Gen.
- Top graph: The overview dashboard for Horizon Monitoring shows available Deployments, Pods, Pools, and Locations in your environment.

- Activity cards: The key metrics for sessions and users on the overview dashboard include Total Sessions, Active Sessions, Users, and Impacted Users.
- Widgets: Intelligence displays more Horizon data in the listed widgets located below the overview.
- Sessions - This widget displays Active, Idle, and Disconnected sessions broken down across all deployments. Select View Dashboard to see the Sessions dashboard.

- Number Of Sessions Over Time: This widget displays Total, Active, Idle, and Disconnected sessions trending over time. Select View Dashboard to see data concerning the number of sessions and their statuses.
- Users - This widget displays distributions of users against pods or pools, and it lists users impacted by protocol, latency, and logon performance.
- Connections - This widget breaks down the protocols, client types, and access types by active user connections.
- Utilization - These widgets show overall resource use of your Horizon pods aggregated by deployment type. Depending on your deployment, the monitoring dashboard might display several Utilization widgets.
- Sessions - This widget displays Active, Idle, and Disconnected sessions broken down across all deployments. Select View Dashboard to see the Sessions dashboard.
How do you create a custom dashboard?
Horizon Cloud custom dashboards allow you to create your own widgets using Horizon Cloud First-Gen data. Share these dashboards with colleagues and other business teams.
- Create a custom dashboard, so that you can add custom widgets to it.
- In Intelligence, go to Workspace > Dashboards.
- Select Add, and then select Custom Dashboard.
- Enter a name for the dashboard to help you quickly identify the dashboard.
- Optionally, you can enter a description for the dashboard. Consider the description as a tool to help remember why the custom dashboard was initially needed.
- Save the dashboard.
- Add a custom widget to your custom dashboard.
- If you are not in the custom dashboard, you can find it in the console at Workspace > My Workspace > Recent Dashboards. You can also find dashboards in the console at Workspace > Dashboards.
- Select Add Widget > Custom Widget.
- For the Category, select Horizon, and then select the data point you want to showcase in your widget.

- Enter a name and a description for the widget.
- Configure the Data Visualization area. Use the Summary to preview your custom widget to see if your configurations are capturing the data you want, and change configurations as necessary.
- Complete the Snapshot data, which represents data in your deployment now.
- Chart Type: Select how you want the widget to display your data.
- Measure: Sets how the widget counts the data by an aggregator (of [aggregator]) you select.
- Count: Sets the number of rows in a particular data set. The count is the simplest function for verifying results.
- Distinct Count: Returns a count of unique or distinct values identified over the data range set.
- Max: Returns the largest values in a particular data set. This setting only works with numerical columns.
- Min: Returns the smallest values in a particular data set. This setting only works with numerical columns.
- Average: Calculates the average of a selected group of values. This setting only works with numerical columns.
- Group by: Separates data into groups. Widgets can display two groupings per data set.
- Results per group: Reduces the results displayed. For example, use a value of 10 to show data for a top 10 list of the most installed applications.
- Configure the Filter to define the baseline data sets for your widget. Use Add Rule and other parameters to define the data you want to see on your custom dashboard.
If the system has no information to display, it notifies you. However, you can change configurations to see if a different parameter, like Measure or Group by, might display data in your widget.
How do you create a custom report?
Horizon Cloud custom reports allow you to create unique reports using Horizon data that you can share with colleagues and other business teams.
- In Intelligence, go to Workspace > Reports and select Add Report.
- For the Category, select Horizon, and then select the data point you want to showcase in your report.
- Enter a name for the report. Adding a description is optional.
- View the data type as Snapshot, which represents data in your deployment now.
- Select the Download Format, CSV or JSONL (JSON Lines).
Important: You cannot change the selected format after you create and run the report. This behavior helps to maintain the same format and output when you share the file with other users. - You can select to use friendly column names in your download.
- Configure the Filters using an attribute that corresponds to the data you are trying to gather.
- Select an operator and the filter rule value.

- View the Report Preview to see results of the reports query. You can edit the rules to change the data in the preview. Select Refresh Preview to see if your changes resulted in updated data.
- Save the report.
Using workflows (Freestyle)
You can trigger workflows(Freestyle) choosing Horizon First-Gen data as the data source. One helpful use case is monitoring for high resource usage.
Use Case: Monitor for high pod resource usage
Create a workflow to identify high resource usage (for example, high CPU or high memory usage) and to alert a selected admin after identification.
- In Intelligence, go to Workspace > Freestyle, select General, and then select Add Workflow.
- Select Horizon as the Data Source, and then select Pod (First-Gen).
- Select Automatic as the Trigger Settings.
- Complete the Trigger Rules.
- Select the attribute Pod (First-Gen) > CPU Used Percentage.
- Select Greater Than or Equal To as the operator.
- Enter 80 as the percentage value.

- Use the Potential Impact menu option to preview possible results for the workflow.
- Select Action from the plus button (+) below the Workflow Settings.
- Select Intelligence > Send Email, and then select Add Action.
- Enter the email information for the admin you want to receive notifications about high resource usage.
- Name and save the workflow.
- Select Enable Workflow to start using the workflow on incoming data or you can wait to activate the workflow later. The system executes the workflow when incoming events match the trigger rule.
